Olivia & Ashwin’s Colorful Vegan & Vegetarian Cate School Wedding

This wedding had a few special twists:  not only was it hosted at one of the finest prep schools in our nation, the wedding couple partook of a lovely tea ceremony while guests relaxed floorside on comfie pillows under the sky.  They also provided their own overlays for the reception tables:  souvenirs they acquired during their travels, bringing a personal touch to their wedding day story.   The colors for this wedding were magnificent and were only rivaled by the vibrant joy of the the newlyweds and their guests, as evidenced in the photos.

Olivia and Ashwin  requested an all vegan/vegetarian wedding.   With all the abundant ingredients and luscious flavors available for some vegetarian deliciousness in Southern California, this menu was a Vegan/Vegetarian’s delight.  We loved producing it!

Congratulations to Olivia and Ashwin!

Rachelle and Jason’s Rockwood Woman’s Club Wedding Celebration

Described as “the premier wedding and event venue of Santa Barbara, Rockwood is an architectural jewel that stands secluded among the giant oaks and lush greenery of historic Mission Canyon.”  We could not have said it better ourselves.   Just around the corner from the Queen of the Missions sits a venue that allows incredible layout options for feel and flow.  It is also affordable with plenty of guest parking and a blank canvas that is conducive to almost any event design plan.  And it also doesn’t hurt that it is conveniently located close to many of Santa Barbara’s hotels and inns for guests.

Private Estate Wedding: History and Woodland Elegance at Dos Pueblos Ranch’s Casa Grande

Kate and Geoff chose one of Dos Pueblos’ Ranch’s premiere venues- the historic Casa Grande, which was the home of the original owner. This gorgeous home and its grounds played host to countless soirees from the 1920’s through the present day and when you are on site, you will see that it’s stately elegance is rounded out with the natural wood setting of centuries old trees and gardens.  You can almost feel the presence of celebrations in bygone eras and instantly you know this is a location for memorable events.

We were thrilled to be a part of an incredible team who put together this amazing wedding and all its special touches.  Casa Grande offers a variety of event layouts, and we used every single space we could to give guests an authentic taste of the property’s beauty.

Our specialty is the element of telling a story with our cuisine and the food and beverage experience.  Example: Kate and Geoff loved dirty martinis, so besides having them available at the bar, we incorporated them into passed appetizers (see below);  for escort “cards” they had customized shot glasses that held guests’ name and table number with sign inviting guests to “take a shot, take a seat”.   We also loved that they chose our delicious Amuse-Bouche when guests sat down for dinner to enjoy during conversation and wine until dinner service began shortly thereafter. Their sumptuous dinner menu was topped off with our Deluxe Coffee Station and a sweets table (in addition to the wedding cake).  It was a decadent night for all, where the dance floor was never empty!

Working with Kate, Geoff and their families in producing this wedding -and their rehearsal dinner the night before- was such a pleasure.  We wish them heartfelt congratulations and best wishes!

Lorrana and Jacob’s Santa Barbara Historical Museum Wedding Celebration

The Santa Barbara Historical Museum offers a warm and wonderful taste of historic Santa Barbara with its Spanish influence, and as the sun sets,  lights showcase the architecture, and stars overhead come out to play, guests are in for a beautiful Santa Barbara wedding experience.  Conveniently located downtown Santa Barbara, many of our couples find that their guests can stay at one of the lovely local hotels and walk to and from the wedding celebration at the Santa Barbara Historical Museum.

And one of our signature service items for our wedding couples always includes saved appetizers and drinks for the bride and groom during their post-ceremony photos.  We don’t want them to miss one bit of deliciousness during their cocktail hour!   We will either bring them their hors d’oeuvres, or ensure we save some and place them at their dinner setting (see photo below).  Our goal is for everyone to enjoy the fruits of their hard planning and menu choices for their special day.

Congratulations, Lorrana and Jacob!

Kim and Rich’s Santa Barbara Beachside Wedding at Cabrillo Arts Pavilion

America’s Riviera wouldn’t be known as such if it wasn’t situated on a gorgeous coastline with dreamy views of the Channel and its signature islands.  No wonder so many couples inquire about their dream beach wedding in Santa Barbara!  There are very few places where you can get married right on the sand and then immediately enjoy dinner and dancing with ocean views within steps of where you married.  We love weddings at the Cabrillo Arts Pavilion for this very reason and it is an ideal Santa Barbara beach wedding locale.

Client Reviews

Philippe is phenomenal!! I requested quotes and communicated with various catering companies but when I talked with Philippe I just knew that he would be the man for the job. He did not disappoint. He is very professional and he knows what he's doing, I trusted him very much throughout the planning process. As a caterer he went above and beyond, he went with us to pick out rentals and decide on colors and place settings, decide on our table layout, and he gave his professional opinion when asked. He met with us countless times and was super fast at responding to emails and questions. The day before the wedding Philippe and his team helped set up the venue and the day of they helped our coordinator set up the last minute details. Philippe and his entire staff made the planning process a breeze and all of our guests RAVED about how good the food was. You will be severely missing out if you do not choose catering connection for your wedding or next event!!

We rent out our auditorium at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History and there was a company having their Holiday Party last Saturday. Due to an electric pole being knocked down in the middle of the night the evening before, all electricity was out. Catering Connection along with SMI Concepts were on top of it from the beginning, bringing in power and working in the dark for hours setting up and making sure the customer had a great evening (of course the electricity came on 1/2 hour after the party started.) Without Catering Connection's support and heroic efforts to make it happen, the party could not have gone on. Plus the food was a hit, the set up and breakdown smooth. I've never seen the auditorium as clean after and event. I highly recommend Catering Connection for all your events.

Catering connection far exceeded my expectations as to what a wedding caterer could offer- their service, attention to detail and food quality was second to none. So many guests commented that this was by far the best food they have ever had at a wedding. I had the pleasure of working with Phillipe who was a dream from start to finish. His extensive experience in the food- catering world offered a wealth of knowledge about all things food and entertaining. He helped me come up with a fun an creative menu and worked with me every step of the way to create the wedding of my dreams. I plan to use catering connection for any event, big or small, in the future. It felt like I was planning a party with a friend, who also happened to be an expert in this field. The servers and bartenders they provided were incredibly professional, attentive and polite.

I've read a few reviews and a lot of them say it all.
Ursula, and the crew, were more than caterers. Depending on what was needed, she was a wedding planner, she was very patient, a friend, a guide and, she made you feel like nothing could go wrong on your special day. I can't overstate how "above and beyond" Catering Connection goes. And MY GOODNESS....the food was fantastic!
The food, professionalism of the crew, accuracy of the quotes, communication along the way is all enough for a 5 star recommendation. If there was a way to give 10 stars for the intangibles I would click away. They care, they make it special, and no detail gets left behind. We opted for a plated salad and a buffet and the main courses were as good, or better, than any sit down restaurant in the area.
Like the other reviews said - look no further or you may regret it. This is your best value. This is the best team. Any other choice is simply irrational!

From the minute we met with Philippe we knew we had the right catering company. The customer service prior and at the wedding were outstanding. He and his staff were attentive not only to my groom and myself but specifically our head table which included our parents. Also the food was outstanding as we had BBQ Tri Tip, Chicken and sides. He customized it to just what we wanted. Philippe is very in tune with details and helped coordinate the party rentals as well. Overall an outstanding experience and we would highly recommend using them.
