Founded in 1996 as Catering Connection, our company established a reputation grounded in reliability, genuine warmth, and uncompromising quality. In 2025, Kathleen and Charlie Schaffer—members of the Santa Barbara community and residents of the Santa Ynez Valley—expanded that legacy with the launch of Solera & Co. As the founders of Schaffer LA, a family-owned event hospitality company recognized for its creative vision and thoughtful execution, the Schaffers bring decades of culinary and event expertise rooted in both global perspective and local stewardship. Their acquisition of Pure Joy Catering reflects a continued commitment to the community they call home, seamlessly blending Santa Barbara’s vibrant local food culture with refined hospitality, worldly influence, and full-service bar offerings—crafted with care, intention, and a deep sense of place.
