Chris & Michael’s Vineyard Nuptials and Glowing Winery Barrel Room Celebration

People come from all over the world to Santa Barbara’s wine country, the Santa Ynez Valley to try incredible wines and take in the views and varietals our region has to offer.  Firestone Winery, one of the area’s premiere wineries and vineyard wedding locations offers wedding couples and their guests a full winery wedding experience.  In addition to getting married overlooking the sprawling vines, guests can enjoy a sumptuous wedding feast in the iconic Firestone Barrel Room, followed by dancing under the stars outdoors in a courtyard reminiscent of something you would see at a private estate in Tuscany or Provence.

Chris and Michael chose to take advantage of every single gorgeous space at Firestone Winery, and coupled with a magnificent dinner menu fit for royalty (check out the whole menu below – but in particular the dessert!) , this wedding was lavishly appointed from start to finish.

We were delighted to be a part of this wedding celebration and wish Chris and Michael congratulations on their new married journey together!

Vince and John’s Intimate, Private Estate Wedding

Not all the weddings we do are hundreds of guests in grand venues.  In fact, some of the most “epic” weddings we’ve done have been more intimate and the focus was on celebrating with closest family and friends.

Vince and John chose to do such a celebration and focus on the closeness of their love for their family and friends, as well as each other.  Their wedding menu (below) was a great success (check out the Chicken Breast with Pecan Apricot Stuffing, which was a particular hit) and their wedding cake from Chooket.  They feasted on deliciousness and amazing company while the melodies of guitarist Tony Ybarra filled the air celebrating their nuptials.

Congratulations, Vince and John!

Lorrana and Jacob’s Santa Barbara Historical Museum Wedding Celebration

The Santa Barbara Historical Museum offers a warm and wonderful taste of historic Santa Barbara with its Spanish influence, and as the sun sets,  lights showcase the architecture, and stars overhead come out to play, guests are in for a beautiful Santa Barbara wedding experience.  Conveniently located downtown Santa Barbara, many of our couples find that their guests can stay at one of the lovely local hotels and walk to and from the wedding celebration at the Santa Barbara Historical Museum.

And one of our signature service items for our wedding couples always includes saved appetizers and drinks for the bride and groom during their post-ceremony photos.  We don’t want them to miss one bit of deliciousness during their cocktail hour!   We will either bring them their hors d’oeuvres, or ensure we save some and place them at their dinner setting (see photo below).  Our goal is for everyone to enjoy the fruits of their hard planning and menu choices for their special day.

Congratulations, Lorrana and Jacob!

Kailin and Phillip’s Firestone Winery Wedding

Stop.  Before we talk about the magic of the vineyards at Golden Hour in Santa Barbara’s wine country, will you look at Bride Kailin’s wedding dress? If it were us, we would probably be twirling in it all night.  It was truly made with magic- and perhaps even some fairy dust – as she (and her groom Phillip) seemed to just float all evening.   This wedding is scheduled to be featured on a national wedding blog publication soon, so check back soon for the link, where you will be able to see even more photos and detail.

For now, the imagery of nuptials in front of age-old oak trees with the Firestone vineyards whispering in the background, impeccable special touches and thoughts to detail throughout, including a romantic vintage car getaway – and all of this basking in the light of Golden Hour – should be enough to inspire you.

Update:  this wedding was recently featured on Style Me Pretty!

Kim and Rich’s Santa Barbara Beachside Wedding at Cabrillo Arts Pavilion

America’s Riviera wouldn’t be known as such if it wasn’t situated on a gorgeous coastline with dreamy views of the Channel and its signature islands.  No wonder so many couples inquire about their dream beach wedding in Santa Barbara!  There are very few places where you can get married right on the sand and then immediately enjoy dinner and dancing with ocean views within steps of where you married.  We love weddings at the Cabrillo Arts Pavilion for this very reason and it is an ideal Santa Barbara beach wedding locale.

Maudie & Clark’s Hope Ranch Wedding Celebration

An unincorporated suburb of Santa Barbara, Hope Ranch is a very upscale residential area boasting gorgeous estates, equestrian trails and views of the Santa Barbara mountains (and for lucky residents whose properties back up to the ocean cliffs, our gorgeous coastline).  Its signature entry includes a palm-tree lined drive that tells you that you have arrived in Hope Ranch.  Celebrities from Fess Parker, Snoop Dogg to political figures such as H.R. Haldeman have lived in or have homes in Hope Ranch.

Maudie and Clark’s wedding had all the relaxed pace associated with Hope Ranch and didn’t miss one spot of the elegance offered, either.

Meghann & Michael’s Spectacular Sunset Sandpiper Golf Course Wedding

Leanne and Nick’s Home-Centered Wedding

Home is said to be the dearest spot on earth.  It is where life happens.  It is a shelter, a grounding place to recoup and recover from the world, and a gathering place where those whose hearts we hold dearest come together.  It is where all the juicy goodness that makes up life happens.  So choosing to say one’s vows at home makes incredible sense.  And when the home is as beautiful as Leanne and Nick’s , it was the perfect setting for a heart-felt, gorgeous day of special touches and celebration.

Every part of this wedding involved family and the fundamental core of “home” , which was woven in every aspect of the decor and design by wedding coordinator Rani Hoover.  Even the wedding menu (arguably our favorite part of any event) was comfort food reminiscent of home-style favorites with a nod to traditional country fare and infused with a little Southern California flare.

We wish Leanne and Nick best wishes for a beautiful new life together and many more happy years in their beautiful home.  It was truly a pleasure catering their wedding day.

Tanya and Mauricio: Savoring A Bit of The “Droplet of Human History” With Firestone Wine & Nuptials

To take wine into our mouths is to savor a droplet of the river of human history,” said the New York Times in 1967.  So it stands to reason that as timeless as wine is, so is the winery wedding experience, where one is surrounded by the very vines that provide that “river of human history” to the world who chooses to savor it.   These Santa Barbara wine country vines produce wines that will be opened and savored in various locales for all sorts of  reasons all over the world.  So, when Tanya and Mauricio said “I do” in the middle of the essence of what makes history, it was no wonder their wedding day was an ideal event to enjoy a bit of that history-making… all while they made their own as husband and wife.    We were proud to be a part of it.   These newlyweds took full advantage of the epic wine country atmosphere and delicious Firestone wines and then flavored the evening with a delicious Mexican buffet to give tribute to the local rich Mexican history & heritage associated with Santa Barbara, giving their guests an experience that they would not soon forget.

Love On an Ojai Ranch: Karin & Brad’s Ojai Wedding

ojai wedding ceremonyCelebrities have been quietly escaping to the mountains of Ojai for many years.  With its secluded boutique inns, a world-class resort, shops, dining, a slowed-down pace,  and all the quiet necessary to recover from the world’s noise, no wonder it is such a popular destination for weddings.  Karin and Brad chose a private estate -a quiet Ojai ranch – for their nuptials, and the backdrop did not disappoint.  For their menu, they chose to concentrate on southwestern-inspired cuisine, which complemented the Mexican/Californian influence surrounding them, and what Mexican/California menu is complete without margaritas!
